Who say Stress = University?


Often the university can be stressful, in periods of biggest tests, exams, or in moments of many works. This is frequently in end of semester in the majority of the students, but in my case and of my classmates, we are always stressed!! Every day, every week, EVERY THE SEMESTER!!! This is horrible DX

I don’t have time for nothing! I don’t can see my friends; I don’t have time for to go at party, because I fall asleep anywhere, anytime, in class, in the metro and in the micro… and all for staying up late studying, we have minimum three tests each week and class all the day, then this is very tiring, so how we can avoid that these occur??

Well, when I am very tiring I don’t think in nothing, I only have head for study and if I don’t can study, I collapse, and which this happen it don’t help me, neither my study nor to my person, because I am sensitive and I cry for anything. So, when I know that I will have a lot of tests or works, I prevent think in that I am against the time and I plan all my signatures to study early, then this way I stress less. However, I think that this doesn’t sufficient and it’s necessary to take other precautions, because now that I am less stress, I can think best solutions for this problem, for example, it study is more easy in group, always it’s necessary it have a break (each two hours as suggestion) and is bad to sleep few hours, then it is fundamental the time well spent.

Is good, too, it do the favorites sports or hobbies, because is true that a stressed person think that doesn’t have time for these things, but this is big error, because with a good organization all is possible, and the best of it do these things, is the energy that it be gain for it can study good, because if I know that I had time to relax I can study better.

Then the message is:

Always there is time for all!!

Neuromiths


“Let’s face it – men and boys just have different brains from women and girls” is this neuromith? The text “Brain and Learning” state that there are functional and morphological differences between the male and female brain, but that no study to date has shown gender-specific processes involved in building up neuronal networks during learning. Then the terms “feminine brain” and “masculine brain” refer to “ways of being” described in cognitive terms rather than to any biological reality. Baron-Cohen employs the terms “masculine and feminine brain” to refer to particular cognitive profiles, which is unfortunate choice of terminology if it contributes to distorted ideas concerning the workings of the brain.

In my opinion, I think that for the population in general this neuromith is true, because the majority of the people unknown the biological basis of the subject, and the text “Brain and Learning” have a lot of reason in that phrases as Why men don’t listen and women can’t read maps have become popular reading, or in the case of Chile, popular phrases, because is usual hear people say them when a men doesn’t listen well, for example, or when a women is drive badly. For me personally, this neuromith it is not true, because at least in the signatures that I had studied, we never have established physiological differences between male and female brain, besides that I don’t know studies that prove true differences biological between men and women, for this reason I am totally agree with the text “Brain and Learning”.

I think it would be nice if this literature (as “Brain and Learning”) became more know to the public, because then people would not believe things that are not true. Although I think too, that it would be very interesting that it carry out researches about the processes biological really involved in the differences gender-specific (men are more methodical, women more communicators), like the building up neuronal networks during learning in girls and boys, because it would help resolve all these doubts that exist today. But while this does not happen, always will be present the doubt of: there is really a male or female brain?

A healthy life style, is it possible? How?

I think that a healthy life style is totally possible, but for this is necessary it carry out a series of activities, because a healthy life style involve a lot of aspects as the diet, to exercise and tobacco. But, for the peoples have a healthy life, its necessary to educate the population, and we as health’s professionals have a roll very important because we will assist a number important of persons, and the great majority will be women that can pass on this habits in your family.


How is possible a healthy life style?

Beginning for the diet, a healthy person should eat minimum 3 serving of vegetables for day, 3 dairy for day, legumes twice a week, fish twice a week and consume no more of 5 grams of salt, too. And of course, avoid consume of fatty foods, a person that lives off a diet of fatty foods is nothing healthy.

All the previous, its due add to exercise for be in a good physical state (this involve a healthy life style). For example, execute half hour of aerobics exercise at least 3 times at week and walk at least half hour all the days. If the people be excuse speaking that don’t have time, its can give alternatives, as that they walk up the stairs of subway, instead of it walk up by the escalator and that besides they get off the small bus one or two blocks before that it arrive at their homes.

For other side, we should take in count the tobacco, a lot of people smoke nowadays, and this is not good for the health, the tobacco a long period can cause lung cancer, a disease very terrible for a person. For this reason the best option it is does not smoke. A person that not smoke take a bet stapes in her life with respect a her health, because if the tobacco do not produce cancer can produce many respiratory diseases, too. Although smoke 2 or 3 times for week can be harmful, it’s not advisable, it not smoke is the better option.

If the people carry out all this advices, they will achieve be completely healthy.
