A very good experience

Hi everybody!

Today I am going to talk about of my blogger and my opinions about this.

Well, my first blog, it was very difficult for me, I took me a long time in make it and it was very stressful, too. The second blog was a little most easy and so on; nevertheless, I think that I need a lot of time for write still, for this reason I don’t enjoy much this activity’s, although I think that is a good way of improve my English, because if I write a few all the weeks, it helps me for think better in English, although I took me a long time. Besides it helps me enough in vocabulary because there were a lot of words unknown and that I had to look in the dictionary, so in the next’s blog I remembered many words that I could use in my post.

In these months from March, in the English course I and my classmates have written nine blogs, so we have written nine different subjects and something very interesting, for example, gender problems in Midwifery, because in these posts I could see the different opinions of my classmates about a subject very important and current in my career (the great majority of the people that study Midwifery are women). But the posts that I like most were: my favourite piece of technology, because I love my keyboard; and the free post, because I decide to write.

Finally, as a last post I can say that is a excellent experience in English and very innovative for me, because I never had a blog before.

My last year of College

The college have been one of the most important stage in my life, I have reminds very beautifully of it.

I am from in San Fernando, and the year 2007 I graduate from high school in the San Fernando College. That year was full of emotions, we had that prepare the PSU and did trial all the month, besides of strengthen language and mathematics in extra hours, but we had a really good time, too! And it was something that we did the most of time in each opportunity that we had from beginning of the year, for example during college’s anniversary that is the last week of March, I showed for Miss Bikini together with other classmate that it was showed for Mister Swimwear and a Japanese classmate was showed for Miss Emo. Also, my course did an enormous and beautiful canvas of the Lukas duck, because we were the black alliance, however, we obtained the last place. Other opportunity for enjoy it was Book’s fair, we had to make a stand very creative and the best stand had prize, something that neither we win that year, but if on 2006.

With the course of the month, the emotions increased, already in August we had to take us the photo of course and individual for College’s yearbook and little time later it begin to prepare our elegancy party.

The time advances very quickly and when November was finish, the college advanced us the last day of classes, that it was very sad because nobody waited it. So on December we did the PSU, two weeks later it was our graduate and on the following day the eagerly elegancy party, to which I went with my current boyfriend ♡.

That was the last day that I saw my entire course… and with the party finish this important stage…

The pets in my life ♥

In my life, I have had only a turtle, mi dad gave me when I was 1 year old, then I grew with this mascot, the turtle was a female and her name was Susanita, although in reality it was a good time nameless, until one day in my Snoopy’s kindergarten, the aunts put her Susanita, because I took many times the turtle and always ask me: -What is her name?, and I answered: -It don’t have name. For this reason finally her name was Susanita. I had this turtle until the year 1998; Susanita is dead of an infection that was caused by the flies when it’s had my same age (8 years old), this was very sad because in mi family we could not save her, although we gave her remedies. After that, I dreamt of having other turtle, I didn’t like none other animal, but it was impossible, the turtles were in extinction danger and in that year, their sale was already forbidden. Then, I didn’t have pet for a lot of time, until in the year 2004 a friend gave me a dog without asking xD, since then that I have to Diego, that it is their name.

Diego conquers my affection and achievement that I liked the dogs, because the truth is that I didn’t want it much at the beginning, but now I love it!! And I miss him a lot too!! Diego is in mi home in San Fernando, and always that I arrived, he makes me a great show, I think that it misses me also, because in the night it hides under my bed so my mom leaves it inside at home (he sleeps out).

Prevention in my career

In the health’s professional the education at the people is very important in diseases of all type, as for example cancer, respiratory illness or obesity.

In our career, it be can give emphasis in the prenatal care to prevent that the usuries don’t put on weight unnecessary, because nowadays, the rate of obesity is very increased as in pregnancies as in the people in general. We as midwives can talk with our usuries in the consult, when they attend to control, in this instant we can speak of the beneficiates that bring a health alimentation, for this way the women will transmit this good habits to your family.

Other subject of interest in our future as midwives is the prevention in the Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD), for example the VIH, among other, even though all the people are risked to this type of illness and your diagnostic is very important so much as your prevention. There are diverse ways of prevent, an example is to inform at usuries when they to go at the primary health centre (PHC) as above. In the community I can to apply a counselling in the same PHC, to inform about of the consequences of the STD and to show at the people that exist prevention effective, that they could infect if don’s be care and besides, emphasize that is in your total responsibility that this not happen. All this it´s can summarize in a poster and to stick them in the same PHC too, and other option is do advertising campaigns and leafleting at the population.

All this forms of prevent will be effectives always that it be achieve to capture the attention of the persons.

Are there gender problems in midwifery?

In my career it seems strange find men students because approximately, only the 10% of the Obstetrics student are men, for this reason they suffer of many prejudices, for example that they are gay. This can happen for the work that they will carried out to future as midwives, because they were devoted completely to the woman’s care, however, this situation changes a little when they begin to work, although at the beginning, for people it will always be strange to see a man midwife, but later, they accept it and it is something normal. Above, it is demonstrated in a report that it was showed in the news in TVN some time ago, in this report interviewed ladies that had been assisted by a men midwife during her delivery, and they were very satisfy with the attention that he gave them, they even preferred to be assisted with him. This situation is similar to the one that I’ve seen in hospitals.

I think that this gender problems are just a matter of time!! :)
